Marq Gunn, MSW
The journey of life comes without a road map or GPS to navigate the uncharted territories of trauma, crisis, grief & loss, self-work, anxiety, depression, and negative thoughts. These experiences can often result in the decline of a fulfilling life or even the desire to strive for one. As a clinician, I aim to provide the education, tools, and navigation needed to successfully persevere through obstacles and develop skills to assist with maintaining a sense of peace. I have over 6 years of experience working with young adults and the geriatric population providing individual, family, and group therapy.
I also have a vast history with the Veteran population and the complexities faced with transitioning back into civilian life. I utilize evidence/strength-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness to help clients reach a destination of peace, inspiration, empowerment, and healing.
“People who need people are the luckiest people in the world”. Therapy promotes the power of change through self-reflection and intentional decision-making. The change starts with YOU and it is my honor to be an agent of change in your life!
